Charge and Arrest the Woman Who Left 164 Dogs Thirsty and Starving in a U-Haul

We've all heard the story about Cruella Deville, the fictional character that wanted to make coats out of the pelts of 101 dalmatians. But have you heard the one about the woman who stuffed 164 pomeranians - stacked to the roof - of a U-Haul truck?

The woman received a tip that her illegal backyard puppy mill was about to be searched, loaded the dogs in the back of the truck and hightailed it from San Bernardino, California to Las Vegas where ,luckily, the dogs were found. The trip can take more than five hours and when she found rescuers found them they had no ventilation, food or water. Some were even covered in their own excrement.

Luckily the pooches - which range from 14-weeks-old to 6-years-old - were all alive, and have been taken to a rescue center where they can receive treatment and wait to be adopted. Las Vegas police have the name of the breeder but have yet to charge or arrest her for this act of negligence. Her selfish acts could have left these dogs dead, and she needs to be punished for it.

As the woman who alerted rescuers said, "They can't control that they're being put in kennels and on a U-Haul truck. They can't control when they're being bred. They can't control when they're being abused. But we can. We can be a voice."

Let's be their voice. Let's ask LVMPD to charge the woman with animal abuse and punish her for her crimes. Please sign the petition.
