Stop Importing Beagles for Medical Experiments!

A Swedish facility owned by the pharmaceutical giant AstraZenica is closing, and the firm is flying about 300 beagles to the UK to be used to test new medicines. In defense of this decision, an AstraZenica spokeswoman said, "The team has concluded that, because these dogs have been purpose-bred for research and they are needed to support our global research efforts, the best solution is to continue to utilize them for research at AstraZenica facilities and by third parties acting on our behalf."

Beagles bred especially for research experience the same physical and emotional pain as pets. It is cruel to subject these dogs to the stress of transportation, let alone the horror they will experience as animal test subjects. Please sign the petition to convince UK airlines and airports to refuse imports of dogs meant for medical experiments.
