Please sign and share this petition nationwide in an effort to get an officer in Oklahoma reprimanded and possibly fired for aiming his gun at two young boys and then shooting their dog in their back yard. Supposedly there were reports of screaming at the home of Cindy Wickham and when the officer approached the yard, the home owner asked him not to enter the yard.

Ms. Cindy Wickham stated that she told the officer as he approached their back gate, "don't come in" and he just went ahead and entered the yard. As he arrived at the Wickham home, the woman's two young nephews and their two dogs were playing in the back yard. No one knows why he was called to the home but she told the officer all was fine and not to come through the gate since she did not know if the dogs would jump on the officer. He did not respect her wishes and entered the yard anyhow.

The officer claims that one of the dogs, Charlie, approached him and started sniffing at him like dogs do to strangers. He then pulled out his gun, pointed it at the two boys and fired a fatal shot in the Charlie. “It just happened so fast that I couldn’t do nothing, I couldn’t prevent it.” Said Wickham. “The only thing I could do was put my nephews behind my back.”

The officer in question, no name given, claims now that the dog bit him but Ms. Wickham and a neighbor who witnessed the occurrence maintains that the incident happened out of nowhere, and a neighbor who witnessed the situation agrees. “I could see the officer waving the gun back and forth at her and the dog,” stated the neighbor.

We need officers to serve and protect us and our families, including our animals, but it is sad that some of these officials that carry a gun go beyond what is truly expected of them, putting some in harm's way. This officer needs to be punished for his inappropriate actions. Logan County Oklahoma Police Department - You need to severely punish the officer who pointed a gun at two young boys and then shoot their dog right in front of them when he was asked not to come into the yard. The home owner and a neighbor who witnessed the event maintain that this officer was not warranted to even bring out his gun and then fatally shoot an innocent animal! What if something happened as he aimed at those children. This guy is a poor example of those who are there to "serve and protect" and should either be suspended without pay for an extended period of time or fired for inappropriate behavior. The public is not safe having such an individual of "authority" and a gun walking the streets!!
