Understanding King Manor's Hot Water Heater

    The temperature of my hot water at the faucet in my Apartment is 91 degrees.
    Hot water tanks below 140F, as it can become a sort of petri dish for Legionnaires Disease. Legionnaires Disease, or Legionellosis, is caused by "Legionella pneumophila, a ubiquitous aquatic organism that thrives in warm environments. The organism is generally transmitted when people inhale contaminated water droplets from whirlpool baths, showers or building air conditioning systems. The most hazardous bacteria found in water heaters is Legionella pneumophila, known to be the source of Legionnaires' disease, a potentially fatal lung infection often misdiagnosed as common pneumonia
