Need for college scholarships for Movement Disorders Specialists for Parkinson’s Disease

People with Parkinson’s have a vast range of symptoms. Because no two people with Parkinson’s display the same physical and psychological symptoms, the need for neurologists specializing in Parkinson’s Disease are in huge demand. The Movement Disorders Specialist degree is an additional year of post graduate neurological study. They are skilled to better analyze and target the needs of each individual patient with Parkinson’s Disease, from head to toe, organ to organ. Most graduate students in the Neurology field have many years of student loans to pay off and would rather start their career than to increase their debt by another year to achieve the Movement Disorders Specialist degree. If a scholarship was available that focused on this degree, more Neurologists would be willing to increase their skill level. To give you an idea of the Immense need: in California, there are only SEVEN Movement Disorders Specialists north of San Francisco for more than 50,000 patients with Parkinson’s Disease!
