#beadthatcap Petition

Shawano Community High School is not allowing graduating seniors decorate their cap, "no exceptions." But, Native Americans have the right to practice their religion. In the Public Law 95-341, it states, "Whereas the religious practices of the American Indian (as well as Native Alaskan and Hawaiian) are an integral part of their culture, tradition, and heritage, such practices forming the basis of Indian identity and value systems." Therefore, the school cannot deny their rights as a Native American. This petition is to give Native Americans, in the 2019 graduating class and years to come, back their rights.
