Andrew Mayer who drove his truck onto the frozen Toms River was seen doing "donuts" on the frozen river. He and a passenger heard the ice cracking and both
departed the truck but left the truck without Andrew's 2 year old dog, Rolo. After authorities recover the truck they found the dog who had drowned in the submerged truck.
The driver of the truck exercised complete recklessness and irresponsibility for his actions as well as disregard for the welfare of his dog, Rolo.
The driver should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law for criminal and animal cruelty charges.

Thank you everyone who signed and shared my petition. I greatly appreciate it and I couldn't have done it without everyone of you who signed.
There is a court date set for August 10th for Andrew Mayer's arraignment. After this court hearing another date will be set for his sentencing. I will do an update on the outcome of this court appearance and his sentencing.

Andrew Mayer, 28 has been "INDICTED" on charges that he caused the death of his dog, Rolo. He was formally charged with third-degree animal cruelty and third-degree criminal mischief for causing a substantial interruption in public services.
"IF" convicted, Mayer could face up to five years in state prison for each charge.

Thank you to everyone who have signed and shared my petition. I greatly appreciate it. The petition is near to reaching its goal but still need signers to complete it. I called the courthouse today to find out if there was a court date. At this time, the case is still under investigation. Will be checking back weekly. Thanks again.

Thank you for signing my petition. I desperately need signers to bring me to the half way mark of 500. My goal is 1000 for the success of this petition.
I am checking into a date when this case will be heard in court. The driver has plans of representing himself in court. That should be very interesting.
Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. I look forward to seeing that Rolo gets his justice for the reckless and untrustworthy actions of his master.

On March 9th, authorities were able to retrieve Andrew Mayer's truck and his deceased dog, Rolo from the icy waters of the Toms River.
He was also in court the same day before a Judge who read the charges against him.
He was charge with one count of third-degree failure to provide proper care by recklessly endangering an animal's life, resulting in his death. The NJSPCA served the charge on Monday.
He also faces a third-degree criminal mischief charge, as well as reckless driving and pollution
