Dear Community Residents:
As many know, the old Giant at 3600 Milford Mill Road is slated to be replaced by a Royal Farms gas station, mart, and car wash. Normally, for a special exemption to the zoning laws a hearing would be needed. However, in January 2021 the Baltimore County Planning Department approved a shopping center designation. This designation allows for the change in zoning without a hearing and the possibility of an appeal. Currently, the Development Review Board (Permits, Approvals, & Inspections) is reviewing the application to approve the Royal Farms, mart and car wash. The Randallstown NAACP believes a hearing should be held to allow the community an opportunity to voice its concerns, suggestions and to get a better understanding of the project. The Randallstown NAACP will pen a letter to the Baltimore County Department of Permits, Approvals and Inspections to request a hearing on this project. Please sign the Peterson for a hearing and to say no to a gas station it be spot of the Old Giant.
