Raymón Luis Ayala Rodríguez (born February 3, 1977), known as Daddy Yankee, is a Puerto Rican reggaeton singer, songwriter, producer and actor. Ayala was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Ayala wanted to be a professional baseball player but before he could be officially signed, he was hit by a stray bullet while taking a break from a recording session with DJ Playero. With this incident he focus entirely on his music career. Since then, he has sold over 18 million albums. He has given back to the community and never forgets where he came from he is always giving the helping hands to the least fortunate.
