Require Changes to Gun Laws, Enough is Enough!

I was in history class on Friday, May 18, 2018. As I was studying the 3rd Article in The Constitution, an alert came up on my computer alerting me that 10 people had died in yet another school shooting in Texas. At the same time, another girl in class got the same alert. I was so shocked I pretty much missed out on the rest of class because all I could think of was the chaos, trauma, and torment that the students, teachers, and parents of the Santa Fe High School community were experiencing as I was studying the United States Constitution. The one that, in fact, states, "...the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

Since I am currently studying the U.S. Constitution, I know that it was written in 1787. 1787. Since then, a lot of things have changed. Including the accuracy and efficiency of guns. But, the rules regulating guns have not. They still regulate 18 century guns. It is time for a change because I will not tolerate being disturbed in the middle of history class any longer.

I am looking for people who would join me for a sit in on the steps of the United States Captiol Building in Washington, D.C. If I can get at least 40,000 signatures, I will set up a date. So stay tuned! Together we can end gun violence in America.
