Demand that Japan bans the sale of elephant ivory!

In the last few years, the global community has taken a stand against the sale of ivory in order to protect elephants. Soon, Japan may be the last remaining large ivory market, as Singapore is close to a ban, following in the footsteps of Hong Kong, China and Taiwan.

Please sign this petition to demand that Japan protects elephants by banning the sale of ivory.

Elephants are clever and empathetic beings who comfort their friends in distress, help community members in need, and mourn their dead. Humans should be doing everything we can to protect these incredible animals.

As the WWF reports, the ivory trade is a huge threat to elephant populations, with a shocking 80% population decline in the 1980's. However, the WWF also has found that when ivory demand decreases, elephant populations can recover.

Please sign this petition and ask that Japan join the global effort to protect the elephant population by banning ivory trading.
