My name is Karen Cottey. I'm a sixty-five year old lady who is disabled from a spinal injury. I'm on a very limited monthly income ($694.00). I'm asking for your help and compassion. I'm devastated and feeling so sad and hopeless.
My little companion and furry friend has given me such happiness during the years. GiGi is a sweet little ShihTzu and she has been my loyal friend. She had not eaten in three days. She was having an abnormal vaginal discharge. I took her to Pyramid Hospital and was informed by the veterinarian that GiGi has Pyrometria a fatal infection, in her uterus. If she is not operated on within 48 hours she will die!
I have contacted numerous Veternary Hospitals and Clinics but they do not take payments! I also took GiGi to the S.P.C.A. I carried her into their office and cried, " Please help me save my companion!" They told me they would see if their vet could do the surgery ( remove her uterus ). I waited for an answer. The employee came back and told me, yes, we can do the surgery! She handed me a form to sign and it was an agreement to surrender my precious little dog to the Humane Society! I couldn't do it! We belong to each other. Please! Please help me! GiGi's surgery cost $1,400 plus any additional hospital stay or medical expenses. I would be so very grateful for any financial help that you can offer. I desperately need to raise $1,400. I'm not sure how to receive donations through Care2.com
