Protect Tennessee from Untrained and Unlicensed “Professionals”

Tennessee bill HB 1945 is a piece of legislation currently in the law process which would allow unlicensed and untrained individuals to perform various jobs which will cause harm to both industry and citizens. The bill would allow for unlicensed cosmetologist, nail salons, funeral directors, embalmers, tattoo artist, body piercers, architects, construction, plumbing, and several other industries that currently require training and licensing. A portion of the bill will also shield these individuals from lawsuits leaving citizens to foot the bill for their shoddy work and even needed medical treatments. This is a Bill that would reward those for doing wrong and punish those who have taken the time, effort, and care to learn how to perform their duties properly and protect their clientele.

Tell your representative and representative Martin Daniel who introduced the bill, that this would result in a loss of professional jobs and would only create greater issues for the poorest people in our communities. rep.daniel@capitol.tn.gov
