Demand the NFL revoke Electronic Arts’ (EA) license to make a football game (Madden NFL)

EA has was awarded the license and has exclusive rights to making NFL football games since 2005. Since then the game has abandoned its fans, provides a metiocre game all the while charging the full price year after year. We support the argument that competition would benefit the NFL as well as pro football gamers. When Madden was in competition with 2k Sports the game was arguably better and much deeper. Madden has become stagnate, it does not represent what it means to be a player or a coach, there is no attention to detail, most notably the Madden 19 logo being seen in the Madden 20 game. This misrepresents the quality that NFL has repeatedly presented in season and in the off season. Madden has abandoned the true football fans in order to support its microtransaction cash cow My Ultimate Team. This demonstrates the problem with EA’s purpose for Madden. When EA cares about the quality of their game they produce pretty solid, polished games. Apex Legends is insanely popular and at a price point that is extremely competitive. You can purchase characters but the base game is free so the price is offset. Each year us gamers pay full price for what could have been done in an update. No real changes, no real strides or risks, just cosmetic changes and updated player rosters. We pro football gamers are demanding that the NFL remove its license from EA to create a license/exclusivity race in order to make the game better, bring in new fans, capture the interest of old fans who’ve abandoned Madden, and ultimately providing NFL fans with a better more immersed football experience.
