Stop Facebook from allowing posting of pictures of animal abuse.

This picture was sent to me on Facebook by a thirteen year old girl who thought it was funny.  Animal cruelty is no laughing matter.  I wrote to Facebook and sent them the picture.   They did nothing about it and wouldn't take it down because they didn't consider it 'violent'!
In fact, by allowing this demonstration of cruelty to be sent and posted on their Facebook pages, they are condoning this kind of treatment and promoting the sharing of such behavior.  The fact that a thirteen year old didn't get that this was cruel, and instead thought it was funny is a real indication of the lack of empathy on her part and of serious concern.
I believe social media should always confront  this kind of ugliness and should never allow it to be posted or promoted.  Please, if you have ever owned a dog, don't let this be allowed.  Speak up!  Sign my petition to make Facebook reconsider it's decision and have them disallow this sort of posting.  Anyone who would treat a dog this way, soon will be treating children in the same way (if not already).  We need to state clearly that this is not socially acceptable behavior!  Please insist that Facebook take down this picture and others like it and don't allow them to be posted in the future!
