In memory of Mahsa Amini. Free the women of Iran

  • by: Pat Losch
  • recipient: Ebrahim Raisi and the United Nations

She was a beautiful young woman, full of life and full of plans. Now Mahsa Amini is dead. She never returned to her family after she was arrested by the vice squad. Beaten to death for not covering her hair. Iran has tightened the laws and wants to oppress women even more. They are not allowed to be women. And that has to change. Iran needs to become more secular. A beautiful country with Unesco cultural heritage has to eventually adapt. Let people live as they see fit and impose some dress code, especially on women. Let women be human too and not slaves of the regime. Many people are taking to the streets and are now fighting for a free Iran. A beautiful free country that should inspire the inhabitants as well as the tourists. Please don't block your hearts and finally reach out to your people and make women, man and children proud to be Iranians and don't drive your own people abroad.
