Several other countries have issued a nationwide quarantine or shelter in place due to COVID-19. The United States has yet to do so in hopes of keeping the economy going. There has even been discussion of people getting back to work in two weeks. Our lives are not expendable to save the stock market, big corporations, or the economy. Scientists have recommend a minimum of 6-week quarantine; with hospitals, grocery stores, law enforcement, military, and pharmacies to remain open. Hospitals and doctors continue to reach out and ask for a nationwide shelter in place due to lack of supplies It is time for our country to unite together rather than having an unproductive state by state response. It is time for the people to call on the president to issue this order.
