More hay is being delivered today and water now trucked in daily thanks to YOUR donations. Transport will soon be underway for the 1st group, but the majority of these Mustangs remain in grave danger. They must be evacuated out of these temporary pens immediately to save their lives.
Graze-able pasture space and transport is urgently needed for several groups of 10-20 horses now!
Donations are essential to keep these horses fed, watered, and to pay for Coggins tests, health certificates and transport/ fuels costs. Please donate to support this effort and help save lives today!
Great news UPDATE 05-01-2014: ! Thanks to YOUR kind and generous donations the next three groups of 8-10 Mustangs have received their Coggins tests and transportation is being scheduled for their evacuation to permanent safe harbor. In the meantime, the purchase and delivery of hay and water is taking place daily. More safe placements foster and adoptive homes are being secured as qualified applicants are cleared.
Donations are being raised to pay for hay, vet costs, and transport to safety.
This Wild Horse rescue and recovery mission also includes pregnant mares, orphan foals and key bloodline stallions; all of whom have been placed in temporary pens pending placement to safe harbor. Sadly the ‘Monero Mustangs’ lost their sanctuary lease and this is their last stand.
Emergency funds are currently being raised to feed and water these family bands while placement and transport are being secured. It’s a race against the clock to secure safe harbor placement and evacuate the remaining forty Mustangs to safety as soon as possible. Meanwhile, WFLF’s volunteer professional rescue team members are vigorously working around the clock, trucking in hay and water on a daily basis.
Small numbers of 2-4 Mustangs will be considered for individual foster and adoption to qualified homes. Must provide transport.
