End Puppy Mill Cruelty in Australia

The war on puppy mills has headed Down Under and it looks like the first battle has been won.

Last month, Victoria passed Oscar's Law, legislation that puts real limits on puppy farms by hindering their ability to pump out puppies for pet stores.

Once the law is implemented pet stores will no longer be able to sell puppies and puppy farms with more than 10 female dogs will be required to get ministerial approval. Under the new law - even with approval - the maximum amount of females any farm can have is limited to 50.

Oscar's Law is bound to cripple this cruel industry. Aside from the terrible conditions that dogs and cats endure at these facilities, puppy mills also contribute pet overpopulation problem. Any limit on their ability to profit from cruelty should be applauded.

Victoria has made history, now it's time to ask other states to do the same. Sign the petition and tell the remaining states to pass Oscar's Law.
