FIX the SIDEWALKS NOW!

Have you ever tripped over a broken sidewalk? Know someone who has been injured due to a trip and fall? Many property owners in Santa Rosa know they need to share in the responsibility to fix hazardous sidewalks. And, we want the City of Santa Rosa (CA) to step-up and share the cost and skip the permit fee (that's right they charge property owners to fix a PUBLIC DOMAIN resource).
We, the folks in the Greater Cherry Street Neighborhood, have formulated a plan to create a co-op (after the beta-test, for all Santa Rosa neighborhoods) to combine repairs to many properties so the costs would be reduced for every property owner. In addition we have submitted (City of Santa Rosa) Community Improvement Grant requests of $65,000 to match property owner's cost. However, it is apparent that the City will need to find money from other departments to fund the grants (City's Annual Operating Budget: $122 Million). We need the City's cooperation to fix this safety problem NOW, and we need your help by signing this petition. Residents, workers, visitors, or all who love Santa Rosa's historic neighborhoods are encourage to sign this petition. Pass it on!
