Should we keep zoos or not?

Why we should keep zoos…

1. Every year more than 180 million people visit zoos. Zoos are very entertaining to the people.

2. Some zoos raise money like Zoo Boise in Idaho capital city, every single visitor who pays the fee to go see the animals also now pays a small fee $0.50. The money adds up and they help protect zebras in Mozambique Southern Africa.

3. Zebras are getting extinct. Zoos are helping by, buying zebras and putting them in there zoos.

4. People are having fun.

Why we should not keep zoos…

1. Often animals suffer physically and mentally by being end closed. Wild animals are used to having lots of space, and sometimes zoos don't gave that to the animals.

2. The zoo animals can get very stressed because everybody is watching them.

3. Capturing animals in the wild also causes much suffering by splitting up families.

4. Some zoos even make animals behave unnaturally for example Marine Park often forces dolphins and whales to perform tricks. These mammals may die earlier than that normal species, some even tried to commit suicide.

5. The family group of elephants in the wild useshuly move about 10-20

So should we keep zoos?

I think we shouldn't keep zoos. That's my opinion. Why? Zookeepers don't treat wild animals like wild animals. They should be able to run free and rome with other animals. But when zoos don't do that the animals are annoyed and frustrated and anxious some even commit suicide because they are to anxious. A lot of animals need to be with they're family, and zoos don't do that. There is a bunch of cages of different types of animals and sometimes animals just need to run free. And the zoos don't do that. To me that's very annoying. I strongly agree that we should get rid of those zoos because the only thing that is good is the zookeeper's and the zoos and everybody else just like the entertainment and a lot of people don't know the backstory and so this is my story and it's all true and I think it is wrong to keep wild animals in a cages because they're wild animals if they're feeling bad or if they need help or something the zoo's can bring them in and then they should bring them back because it's not right to keep wild animals in a cage.
