1080 poison is a slow cruel poison that no creature should have to die from. It is a non discriminate poison that kills other omnivores and carnivores such as phasagales, goannas, quolls and birds, from either eating baits or scavenging from victims. Pets can also take these baits.
No 1080 in Noosa Shire would be a giant step forward for a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve by leading the way to help our environment by not poisioning our land and native wildlife.
There are alternate methods to protect stock ie: putting cows that are calving into protected paddocks, electric fencing, the use of donkeys, alpacas and maremma dogs (maremma dgs will even guard chickens) as guardian animals
These signatures are from concerned people about the cruel, slow poison 1080. The lease Noosa Council can do is to phase 1080 poison out over the next 2 years.
