Students should have a say in school finances

Schools waste so much money on useless things like banners, decorations, and terrible food. I believe if schools included students in their purchasing decisions they would not waste money on unnecessary signs, bad technology that will be obsolete in a few years, and food people don't even want to eat but it is all that is available. All students know what they would like to see in their school and this would also help school pride because they see new things in the building that they would actually want.
