There's a monster walking around the city of Sacramento ,someone guilty of committing the "worst case of animal abuse" officials have seen.
Last week, a passerby noticed something hanging from a tree on a local bike path. When they went in for a closer look they could only have been horrified by what they saw; a 4-month-old puppy. It had been beaten, shot and hanged from its leash and left to suffer until it died.
According to veterinarians who performed a necropsy, the poor animal's liver looked like "hamburger meat". And as for the rest of puppy, officials say it had sustained fractures "from nose to tail."
It is quite likely that the person or people who committed this shocking act of cruelty poses a threat to local animals or even the residents. There is a strong link between animal abuse and abuse towards humans and so it is vital that officials find the guilty parties and put them behind bars.
