No Gold Mining in Donegal, Ireland

An English company, Great Glen Resources Limited, is looking for licences to prospect for Barytes, Base Metals, Gold and Silver in Donegal, Ireland.
This area is unspoiled, a rural area of natural beauty.
The Junior Minister for Communication, Climate Action and Environment for Ireland, Seán Canney, is about to grant these licenses. The deadline is Friday, the 14th of June.
Gold mining is an extremely destructive process with the use of many chemicals and the destruction of massive volume of rock and soil to extract small amounts of Gold. The risks of spills are very high in Donegal, an area of high rainfall.
We want the Minister to refuse those licenses and need every signature on this petition to save this precious area.
