Stop Mistreating of Jain Community At Mount Girnar

  • by: Rohan Jain
  • recipient: The President of India - His Highness Pranab Mukherjee

According to the Jains, it is the spot where the Jain Tirthankara Lord Neminath attained nirvana

Jain Pilgrims are often mistreated and beaten by a Local Community-(a section of people said to have been the followers of Guru Datta) as there is a conflict of area between Jains and Local Community which is still pending in Court Cases.

Jainism only resolves to Ahimsa (Non Violence) which also was followed by Mahatma Gandhi in Freedom Fight for India.

These people accuse Jains of manipulating with the facts and breaking Hindu Idols none of which is true. History tells us with proper Evidences that the place has always been of special relevance to Jain Community.

We have observed in recent times that our places of worship are being attacked, our culture and heritage is being vandalized, our ancients heritage places and temples being encroached upon. Girnar is the super example of that and the incident is enough to decribe all.

On January 1st, a terrible incident happened with one of Jain Muni's Shri Prabal Sagar Ji Maharaj who was stabbed repeatedly by an Attacker believed to be one of the  followers of the above community. The plight of the situation has worsened. These atrocities cant be tolerated anymore.

We are a minority community in this country in many states and still contribute to a great extent in the economy of this nation. Please help us.

We request President of India to look into this matter and ensure proper security for Jain Pilgrims.

Please support the Petition and help this reach higher authorities

We Request The President of India to look into this matter. India is a Secular nation. Followers of all religion have a right to exercise their beliefs equally irrespective of their numbers.

We hope that this initiative will lead to some hopeful changes.
