The reasoning behind this petition is to see that groomers in our state, Tennessee, should be mandated by the law when grooming our pets. My 3 year old dog was traumatized by a Petsmart groomer to the point where she doesn't like being in or near water. She has to go to the vet for nail trimming. The Petsmart groomer had cut most of her nails down passed the quick. We have laws protecting our animals from abuse but places like Petsmart never admit blame. They may fire the groomer but never admit blame. We need to introduce a law into the legislature that these groomers need to be certified and licensed by the state of Tennessee. Our animals do not have a voice and I know if this happened to my dog, it has and will continue to happen to other animals. Please consider joining my fight for our furbabies. I want to end the abuse and deaths that are caused by groomers not being managed on a state level.
