File an InjunctionAgainst trump Administration Over Signing Documents
Last Friday the Bipartisan Care Act was signed by trump with much partisan fanfare. What DID NOT merit the same fanfare was the "signing statement" that accompanied the Law. For all intents and purposes, this statement NEGATED ALL the Schumer resolutions regarding the eligibility, disbursement and accountability over the 500 billion dollar bailout for big business and signaled trump's intent to personally manage the fund. We know well the what him personally managing the fund will lead to -he and his sycophants once again making out like banshees with our money!
Since then, VERY LITTLE has been said in the Main Stream Media (MSM) about this. Of course what do you expect? The MSM is OWNED by the very people who stand to benefit from the fund!
Then on March 31, 2020, Stephanie Ruhle asked leading Democratic pundits about what should be done to ensure that the accountability tenets of the Care LAW be ENFORCED. Their answers were insipid, insubstantial and logically flawed. In essence they said, -"we will do something about it if the law is violated. We can subpoena the information." Well we know how well THAT works!
How can that happen when trump has NO INTENTION, as stated in the "signing statement," of informing Congress as per the Schumer resolutions let alone inform the American People? Once again the Finance Committee will be faced with years of court proceedings if they try to subpoena the trump administration for this information? We still haven't seen trump's income tax filings, have we?
This response tells us that the Democrats in Congress will be co-conspirators in the cover-up of to whom and how OUR TAXES will be handed out and answer to the same corporate overlords as the Republicans and trump!
If they were resolute in their intention to protect taxpayer money, they would use the power of Congress and the House Finance Committee to FILE AN INJUNCTION against the trump administration based on this "signing statement." The only way we will ever see accountability from the most corrupt administration in American History is to play them at their own game, namely to hold up ANY BAILOUT in the courts! Deny ALL money to the corporate interest until the trump administration is forced to rescind the "signing document".
Since the Democrats WON'T ACT in our interest, once again WE the PEOPLE must FORCE them to act in our interest. SIGN THIS PETITION TO URGE NANCY PELOSI TO ORDER THE HOUSE FINANCE COMMITTEE TO FILE AN INJUNCTION AGAINST THIS BLATANT ACT OF HIGHWAY ROBBERY BY THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION. We have leverage!
