Ravenswood sounded like a decent idea when word got out about the new ABC Family show. Pretty Little Liars has had amazing ratings throughout its 4 seasons, so who wouldn't want a spinoff? But after watching the first season of Ravenswood, the answer is me. Me and thousands of other people. I. Marlene King and the rest of the writers for Ravenswood are practically slapping PLL fans in the face weekly. The Caleb Rivers story line is so deeply intertwined with Hanna's and the rest of the girls, it's negatively affecting PLL. Even the setup for Caleb to leave for Ravenswood was poorly thrown together. Caleb has helped the girls time and time again, and he loves Hanna. So, why would Marlene through Miranda into the picture? The love triangle isn't the only issue. The characters seem 1 dimensional and there are too many back stories to try to follow. The acting seems forced and overdone. It's confusing in the not good way. It's just not well composed. I don't think the show should go any further. It was a good try, but in the end, I think we only need one fictional town that starts with an R on ABC Family.
