Drop the Charges Against Black Lives Matter Supporter Al Woolum

Al Woolum is a 65-year-old war veteran who was assaulted for wearing a Black Lives Matter t-shirt at a confederate monument protest in Dallas, TX.

Witnesses were pleading with the cops, telling them that Al was the victim, not the attacker, but police arrested Al anyway. He spent 16 hours in jail.

About a year ago, Al also made national headlines for taking a knee at a high school volleyball game in solidarity with a Black female athlete who was being harassed after she kneeled during the National Anthem to protest police brutality.

    He explains his decision:

"The decision [the players] made to kneel at their last game, they caught a lot of flak for that. I saw that on the news," Woolum said. "I looked when their next game was, and I came to support them to let them know somebody in the white community cares."

Al is a friend and ally, not a violent criminal. Please sign this petition to urge Dallas Police to drop the charges against Al!
