Demand McConnell admit the new impeachment evidence from Giuliani’s henchman!

Lev Parnas, federally indicted Giuliani stooge and a central player in Trump's Ukraine scandal, just dropped a trove of damning new evidence further cementing what we already know – the Trump team's skullduggery in Ukraine was both cartoonishly executed and brazenly illegal. Contrary to GOP claims about Parnas being a low-level nobody, the new evidence suggests he was in close communication with both Trump and Ukrainian officials, coordinating and assisting efforts to smear the Bidens ahead of the 2020 election.

The evidence also includes an official letter from Giuliani to then-Ukrainian-President-elect Zelensky laying the groundwork for Trump's eventual bribery scheme. In what might be best described as clairvoyant stupidity, Giuliani spelled out plainly that he was working "with the President's knowledge and consent." Walking that one back might prove more than a little difficult.

As Trump's impeachment trial ramps up in earnest, one thing is abundantly clear. Relevant evidence – like the bombs Parnas just dropped – must be taken into careful consideration by the full Senate AND laid bare for the American public to see. Freedom of Information Act lawsuits currently making their way through the courts will likely uncover additional, important information in the coming weeks regarding Trump's efforts to extort Ukraine for political gain. This evidence should be taken into account as well. Our democracy depends on it.

Demand Senator Mitch McConnell allow the presentation of new evidence in the Senate's upcoming impeachment trial. If Trump's call with Zelensky was perfect, if his behavior regarding Ukraine was beautiful, if his administration's actions were indeed tremendous, then there is simply nothing to hide.

Let's all have a good, long look, shall we?
