I am a sophmore at South Texas High School for Health Proffesions and was recently tasked with creating a change in either our school, community or in the world and I decided to go big. Upon research I discovered that many companies still test on animals, a practice I thought was eradicated, eventhough there are many cheaper and less cruel options. I decided to focus my change on Dove, which is a branch of a major company called Unilever which tests on animals. Unilever is one of the top beauty/makeup companies and is not cruelty free, and they have made false claims about not testing on animals. Many alternatives to animal testing have been created and are being used by many other companies, so why not this one. These animals that are locked up and facing the negative effects of faulty products need your help to get freedom and be happy.
