Petition: Respect Haiti's Sovereignty
We strongly oppose any policy that forces Haitians to return to Haiti while the country remains in a severe humanitarian and security crisis.
Many Haitians believe that decades of foreign intervention, political influence, sanctions, and other actions by the United States have contributed to Haiti's instability.
If the United States insists that Haitians must return to Haiti, then it should also respect Haiti's sovereignty. We call on the United States to end its political interference in Haiti, withdraw its diplomatic presence if it is unwilling to respect Haiti's sovereignty, and allow the Haitian people to determine their own future without external pressure.
The Haitian people alone should decide their country's political, economic, and military partnerships. Haiti has the right to choose its own allies and build relationships with any nation based on its national interests.
Our demand is simple: respect Haiti's sovereignty, stop forcing Haitians to return to unsafe conditions, and allow the Haitian people to shape their own future in peace and dignity.
