Preserve our health by preserving our environment: Ban Pesticides on MDI!

Welcome to MDI Safe Outdoors Initiative. We are a group of MDI residents working together to create a pesticide-free island. Many private lawns, public playgrounds, parks, village greens and athletic fields on the island are treated with pesticides. These pesticides pose a threat to the health of all people, especially children. They also contaminate our land and run off into our water, which affects our local wildlife and the fishing industry. To move toward a safer island, it is our mission to pass ordinances banning pesticides in each town on MDI.
