Did you know that Rockdale Co. will charge you $3,000 for your water meter if you have to replace it?
Rockdale County charges homeowners a lump-sum $3,000 fee for a water meter. No other county comes close to this extraordinary fee. Most counties don't charge any fee for a water meter. ATL Gas & Electric meters include their fees onto the service they provide. Basically you pay a minuscule fee during your monthly charge. Rockdale county does not even offer the citizens an option for installment payments nor any option for any aftermarket water meter to be installed by your licensed plumber. Rockdale County wants to tax citizens $3,000 but hide it - no "ands, ifs or buts". Their $3,000 charge for a meter is currently not negotiable.
This is not fair to homeowners and I need your help to sign on to this petition to eliminate this tax hidden. If anything happens to your water meter and you have to have it replaced -- you will be on the hook for $3,000. I need your help to eliminate this tax.
