Get Hamilton Ontario School Buses Running on Time

School buses have been delayed with drop offs since the school year has started and we are now in November, experiencing even greater delays. We had to wait upwards of 60 minutes from bell time. This is unacceptable, especially for younger children and for kids involved in any extra curriculars. For some parents having the bus deliver their children home is the only reasonable means of transportation. In our case, public transportation doesn't reduce walking time to and from school, I don't drive, there is no other Catholic school within a walking distance, and I have an infant who has to wait with me at the stop. The communication site that reports on delays is also lacking, since it reports delays in 15 minute intervals and we are asked to be at the stop 10 minutes before. So it could still cause a potential wait of 25 minutes or more. The Hamilton District schools boards have to make changes to minimize these delays. Either changing bell times, stop times, paying drivers more, something that will rectify this. Enough is enough . If you are with me on this, please sign this petition.
