STOP DISCRIMINATION AGAINST DOGS LABELED AS AGGRESSIVE BREEDS

I am a proud mother of a 18 month old Pit Bull Terrier. My baby girl is full of character, joy an love. Not to mention a sweet little sister to a Yorkshier Terrier. Due to her being labeled as an AGGRESSIVE BREED she is constantly judged and not giving a chance to show how much of a gentle giant she is. I am doing this petition because over the last 5 months I have been seeking a new home with a fenced in backyard so my girl can run and play freely but due to this man made label that all Pit Bul Terriers are AGGRESSIVE BREEDS. We are still searching. When I call to inquire about places that say they are pet friendly and I disclose I have a 6 year old Yorkie there is no issue. In fact I have received plenty of aww's! It is when I say I have a Pit Bull that I hear absolutely not, no AGGRESSIVE BREEDS, my homeowners insurance doesn't allow AGGRESSIVE BREEDS, or I am okay with the Yorkie but I have to say no to the Pit Bull. Did you know that the majority of dogs needing a home in your local SPCA is Pit Bull Terrier or Pit Bull Terrier mixed. The reason they are not forwarded the same opportunities of having a loving home is because of this LABEL of AGGRESSIVE BREED. There has been no research indicating that a dogs BREED makes them AGGRESSIVE. It has been proven that any dog regardless of breed or size can become aggressive when experiencing a few of the following:

1.) Illnesses
2.)Abuse
3.)Protecting themselves
4.)Gaurding their territories including their offspring
These are the same traits we have as humans. So why are we not all labeled as aggressive? I am a proud Fur mom and I am asking for your support to put a end to discrimination for all dogs that have been labled as AGGRESSIVE BREEDS!! Please sign and share!!
