Demand Hardship Laws in KS

Kansas residents faced with driving on suspended DL convictions need an option to fill for a hardship licence that allows them to drive to and from work, school, and appointments. Without this hardship exception, KS residents find themselves stuck in a never ending cycle of Driving on Suspension convictions, court fines, lawyer fees, resenstatment fees (times 2) on every conviction with the courts and DMV, and SR22 cost (1 year to 3 years).
How can you possibly pay the above to courts, lawyers, DMV, and insurance company if you can't drive to work everyday? Public transportation is not available in rural areas and often employment opportunities aren't in walking distance.
KS law makers can enact hardship laws that allow for restricted driving privileges but why would they...? The state of KS counts on that revenue and the increased probability of repeat offenses for continued/future revenue. At the expense of KS citizens that often have no other chose but to drive to be able to provide for their families and pay all of the owed to KS.
By signing this petition, KS citizens are demanding that hardship laws be enacted to put a stop to this overlooked injustice to KS residents.
