Memphis residents are fed up about the numerous amount of potholes on our tax paying streets. Vehicles and properties are being damaged due these potholes on a daily basis. We are demanding our city to become more aggressive with the fixing of these potholes in a timely manner. As well as take responsibility for property damages. More claims are being denied than approved and Memphis residents are fed up. We want transparency in where the potholes are and to see documentation that they have been repaired. The reporting policy that the City of Memphis utilize in reporting and covering damages are leaving residents in position to be double taxed. Taxes paid to the City to prevent these issues and taxes paid to local businesses to repair the issue. We are seeking action expeditiously on this petition.
