Stop Selling Assault Weapons at Bass Pro Shops and Cabela's

Update: Dick Sporting Goods recently announced they will no longer sell assault-style rifles – which means that only ONE major retailer still sells these deadly weapons unchecked: Cabela's and its parent company, Bass Pro Shops. Please sign and share to keep the pressure on!

Assault-style weapons like the AR-15 that was used by the Parkland shooter are modeled after military weapons. They are designed to kill large amounts of people quickly. So why are these weapons being sold at stores that are catered to sportsmen?

The Parkland shooter bought his weapon legally. But it should go without saying that people should not be able to so easily purchase such a dangerous firearm. In fact, there are very few reasons for someone to own a gun like this at all.

Bass Pro Shops and its branded Cabela's stores are the only major outdoors store to sell AR-15 and other assualt-style rifles. Send an urgent message to Bass Pro Shops CEO, John Morris, now demanding that he remove these deadly weapons from store shelves.

If Congress is going to continually fail to ban assault-style weapons and protect Americans from mass shootings, then we must go another route and demand that sporting goods stores stop selling these guns. Hunters do not need semi-automatic weapons in order to shoot deer and other game. And the risks of these deadly weapons falling into the hands of a mass murderer is just too great.

Please sign the petition today asking Cabela's and its parent company, Bass Pro Shops to remove assault-style weapons from their shelves and website immediately.
