Make the roads safer from senior citizens !

I think some senior citizens should have to, at least every couple years, retake the states road test and/or should be examined by a physician and get approved to keep their licenses. Their motor skills and eye sights go with age and it’s not safe for them to be on the road if one or both things are fading. I just this morning was driving on a street where a senior started to pull out without having their blinker on or even deciding to look to see if anyone was coming up behind them. It’s a 25/mph street and also a fairly busy one. I would have stopped and had let him go if I knew he was trying to pull into the lane but I had no notice since his blinker wasn’t on. I had my 9 month old in the car also. Thank god no one was coming down the other side of the street since I had to turn away from where the guy almost hit me. Also, he never planned to stop afterwards since I looked out my rear view mirror and seen that he was still trying to pull out while other cars were behind me.

I just feel like some senior citizens don’t know when it’s time for them to give up driving. I know taking away their license will make them feel like less of an adult and take away their dignity but some of them need to realize that they are making it unsafe for other drivers and even pedestrians. I hear and read about so many accidents that are caused by seniors. It’s time that there’s some type of process that anyone 65 of age or older should have to go through to make sure that they are capable of driving safely.
