Make Warwick University a Conflict-Free Campus

The CFCI campaign puts pressure on electronic companies to use minerals which do not fuel the war in the Democratic Republic of Congo hence ending conflict based support and making rebelled groups in-viable.

Tin, tungsten, tantalum and gold are used in our electronic devices and are found in the eastern region of the DRC (64% of the world's coltan is found there).

The mining of these minerals has caused until now 5 million people to die and at least 300 000 women to be raped in the area.

Universities and students are the biggest consumers of electronics therefore it is our responsibility to demand that electronic companies make their products conflict free. We cannot continue to fuel the War!

Get Warwick University to sign the Procurement policy. this will aid the situation in the Congo
