We Are The Change: Sign MLK's Commitment Card to Non-Violence!

With the near daily news of racial and political violence around the world, we can no longer what until "they" do something about it. "We" must do sometning about it.  You and me.  No one else.  It starts with us.  We must be the change.

Our leaders aren't capable of making the radical changes that are needed around the world, but we are. 50 years ago Martin Luther King didn't just have a dream he had a plan. A plan to take specific daily actions in our personal lives to change our world.

To remember always that the non—violent movement seeks justice and reconciliation — not victory.

The Commitment Card that he created , last century, is more critical now than it was then.  This is not a religious tool or conversion tactic, of any sort, it is about getting me and you to take a stand for peace and love.

By signing this commitment card today, I am committing to living by these "commandments" daily and actively changing the way I live and interact with the world around me.

I invite you to join me by signing your name and helping to change the trajectory of our planet.

The Commitment Card

I hereby pledge myself—my person and body—to the nonviolent movement. Therefore I will keep the following ten commandments:

1. Meditate daily on the teachings and life of Jesus.

2. Remember always that the non—violent movement seeks justice and reconciliation — not victory.

3. Walk and talk in the manner of love, for God is love.

4. Pray daily to be used by God in order that all men might be free.

5. Sacrifice personal wishes in order that all men might be free.

6. Observe with both friend and foe the ordinary rules of courtesy.

7. Seek to perform regular service for others and for the world.

8. Refrain from the violence of fist, tongue, or heart.

9. Strive to be in good spiritual and bodily health.

10.Follow the directions of the movement and of the captain on a demonstration.

I sign this pledge, having seriously considered what I do and with the determination and will to persevere.
