URGENT: Sharks need YOUR help!

I am a 10 year old girl from New England who cares deeply for the environment. I'd like to stop the practice and end the sales of Shark Finning worldwide FOR GOOD! I would like to present this petition to Congress. Sign for Sharks!
Shark Fin soup is a delicacy in many countries, hunted for thier fins. Every year 100 MILLION sharks are killed each year for their fins for soup, and for comercial hunting. 73 million usually end up in soup and the rest are killed for hunting. The rest of the shark is thrown back into the water to drown and suffer a painful death. Really, when sharks attack they are only defending their territory. Sharks do not reproduce very quickly so they have a hard time reproducing,numbers go up very slowly, and when people kill them they cannot keep up with the dropping numbers. Sharks are our apex preadtors and if we lose them, we will eventually lose our whole ocean. The fish won't survive and the ocean will become unswimmable and unsafe to source our fish for food. It will no longer be sustainable place for anything. Save Sharks!
I would like to present this petition to Congress to end shark finning as it is not only a moral issue, but an environmental one.

Hello everyone,I want to say a special thank-you to our heroes,Doctors,nurses,firefighters,Postmen and women, police, people still working at the Grocery Market, our teachers, and SO many more. I also want to thank all of you awesome people for helping this beautiful creature make a comeback!

Hi Everyone, I hope you are safe and healthy during this awful pandemic. I wanted to take the time to update this petition. If you have already signed this, please consider sharing it. For those who haven't signed, please do. I have an important reason. I just found out a few nights ago that sharks could be extinct in 20-40 years. That will cause a chain reaction of sickness and loss of food. It Wille eventually affect each and every one of us. It would be like losing 70% of our planet. THANKS!
