A lion in a Lebanese zoo is being mocked and abused for the entertainment of humans!

In a video posted to Instagram, a helpless lion can be seen trying to claw at a plexiglass box while two women laugh and enjoy the obvious distress and and confusion this animal has to endure on a daily basis at this "animal rescue" zoo.

Act now and urge the Lebanese Government to assist in the removal and rehabilitation of this wild animal to a larger and more suitable space!

A zoo called Animal City Lebanon advertises itself as an "animal sanctuary and safehaven", although the distressing video posted to Instagram sends a very stark and contrasting message. The lion in this post seems frustrated and unhappy, while two onlookers appear happy to provoke and tease the animal to garner a reaction. The zoo advertises memorable face to face encounters with this lion and profits from the experience, regardless of how this makes him feel!

The initial vision for this park was a wholesome and safe place for the animals of Lebanon, but obviously the execution is far from this intention. Once again, an animal is being kept like a prisoner, treated like a prop, and exploited for the benefit of human entertainment while his welfare and wellbeing are ignored.

Sign Now! Tell the Lebanese Government to rescue this poor lion and charge this zoo with abuse under the Animal Protection Law of 2017.
