Star Trek: Deep Space Nine is arguably one of the best Trek series ever made. Beyond that, it's one of the best Sci-Fi series across any and all franchises. When DS9 ended, Captain Sisko had entered the Celestial Temple while defeating Gul Dukat. Later, appearing as a vision to Cassidy Yates, he says he will return, but he doesn't know when.
Approaching this from a real world perspective, Avery Brooks is currently 74 years old. That fact, coupled with the recent popularity of Season 3 of Star Trek: Picard, makes this the perfect time to bring Captain Sisko back from the Celestial Temple. This petition is intended to send Paramount a message. That message is this: NOW IS THE TIME. Bring back all the writers we know and love who made the series what it is, and let's at least offer some closure to Jake, Cassidy, Kira, and all of the others affected by Sisko's departure. We've lost some of our favorites along the way. Notably Aron Eisenberg and Rene Auberjonois, and this revival, in whatever form it takes, could serve to offer some closure for some of our best loved friends as well.
