End i-ready, the dehumanizing "learning" site for children k-8

We all know we hate iready. That's not a surprise but there are a few things that we or rather the school should have known before agreeing to take part in this dehumanizing, stressful and painful experience. I did a bit of research and came up with some important things to take note on:
“I-Ready causes stress for students and does not teach anything to students, is a big waste of time and has no benefits. It can cause hours of time to get past the tutorial of 1 lesson. With all this time students will not have time for extracurricular activities like sports.”
“i-Ready's diagnostic assessment provides a scaled score (ranges from 0 to 800) that can be tracked and compared across grades. This scaled score is available for a student's overall reading performance, and for each of the individual domains described in the learning objectives response, above.”
“A website for students that teachers think will help their grade, but in reality it makes them want to kill themselves. A website that causes suicidal thoughts, depression, and anxiety”
“But above all else, the iReady Universal Screener is a dangerous assessment because it is a dehumanizing assessment. The test strips away all evidence of the students' thinking, of her mathematical identity, and instead assigns broad and largely meaningless labels.”
Do we really need to use this awful thing? In mosts opinion of the students and maybe even some parents iready should be banned. Many sites online have declared iready is a waste of time, makes children feel the unthinkable, and “dangerous”. Petitions have been made and signed with more than enough signatures. Iready had been around since 1969. So in a total of almost 23 years i ready has been a source of mental pain. We might not be able to ban iready from the usa or the world but we can try to get it to go away from our school. That's a start. I hope you take from this good information to use against i ready so we can stop the mental stability abrasion of children as we know it.
