It's time for hardworking conservatives, many of whom voted for Donald Trump, to demand that the President stop using social media platforms to govern the United States of America.
The President of the United States should not subject himself to the governance or whims of private corporations and their operators. This President's insistence on using such platforms to govern has created confusion, muddied the largely conservative message of his policies, and made life impossible for everyday conservatives.
The mistakes and errors in tweets by the President alone should be enough for this President to declare the platform problematic. How many negative news cycles have we had to endure because of the President's unchecked use of social media? Governing by Twitter is simply unbecoming of a sitting President.
Therefore we ask you, President Donald J. Trump, to cease and desist from all direct engagement with social media immediately, and for the duration of your Presidency. With all due respect, Sir, you are doing more harm than good, and we can no longer defend your egregious social media blunders. Please, publicly leave Twitter and return to governing the nation with dignity, or face a reckoning in November.
