Commute Kitaka Lauderdale Sentence

Kitaka Lauderdale is a young man who has been through his share of trials (literally) and tribulations. He is not without sin. However, we live in America, where justice should always prevail and I always believed that it would until I witnessed, first hand, just how cruel the justice system can be.

How does a man, in America, during this day and age, receive 105 years for drug offenses? There was no violent crime. There were no prior felonious charges. The determining factor, perhaps dependig on who you ask, of how long this young man should be forced to pay his debt to society, was circumstances related to his location and a keen disdain for him from hearts of local law enforcement.

The discussion of right and wrong could go on for days, weeks, perhaps years. However, one thing that I think everyone would agree upon is that it is utterly insane for anyone in this country to be serving a sentence of 105 years for a drug offense.
