Minimum Wage

The current Minimum Wage in Indiana is $7.25. This is enough for most people that are working the minimum wage jobs and still getting paid and still able to pay for food and all their vehicle-related things. If the Minimum Wage were to be increased, it would then affect the amount things cost to buy like groceries, gas, social fun activities, toys, etc. Also by raising the wage, therefore, increase the businesses operating costs, which would make things cost more, and then it would cause inflation in the economy. By increasing the wages it would increase the cost of living which negate the whole reason there was an increase in the first place. Another reason that there is no benefit in raising the wage there could be a possible increase in the unemployment rate because businesses have to let people go because they have to pay them more or business will move to countries where it cost less to pay their employees. All in all, raising the Minimum Wage would be a terrible idea and would cause more harm than good. If you feel the same way sign the petition and support the cause to bring change.
